UNDERWATER MUSIC Cyrus Rhodes is the visionary founder, producer, and primary songwriter of Seven Against Thebes. He thinks of himself more as a songwriter/producer rather than an awesome guitarist. Rhodes has played in countless cover bands over the years, but during that time Rhodes never lost his passion and vision for writing well crafted, thought provoking melodies. His many  musical influences include Tool, Filter, Nine Inch Nails, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Audioslave, Live, Chevelle, R.E.M, Rush, The Cocteau Twins, Suzanne Vega, King Crimson, Peter Gabriel and Depeche Mode just to name a few. While he was in the United Stated Navy Cyrus was stationed onboard a Trident Ballistic Missile Submarine stationed in the Pacific Northwest. To cure boredom while underwater, Cyrus spent much of his off watch time writing music that would later appear on the debut Seven Against Thebes album. So it's a true statement that all the songs on the SEVEN AGAINST THEBES debut CD were written underwater. This motivated Rhodes to officially brand his songwriting catalog UNDERWATER MUSIC LLC.
